Performing Arts

Here at Glenmere, performing arts is a very important area. All children are given performance opportunities throughout the year.
We have a fully equipped hall, where we have a sound system, wireless microphones, disco lights, staging, stage lighting, a follow spotlight and smoke machines!

Our Year 5 class went to Beauchamp College again, for a fun filled drama session.

Our Year 5 class went to Beauchamp College for a drama session and had a great time.

The Year 6 Christmas performance was amazing. They performed it to the whole school before performing it to Parents/Carers. Well done to Mr Upfield and Mrs Squires for putting it together.

The Key Stage 1 Christmas play was amazing. They performed “Baubles” to Parents/Carers who really enjoyed it.

Reception children performed their Christmas play “Humph the Camel” to the whole school. They all spoke clearly and sang beautifully. Well done!

We had some amazing performances in the Year 5 end of year production. The children enjoyed performing to parents/carers and other family members…with some children being very brave and singing solo in front of everyone!

The children in our Reception class held their Christmas performances “ A Present for the Baby” and our Year 1 and 2 classes held their performances of “The Lucky Owl” for their families and friends. The children were all amazing, they spoke and sang clearly and did really well remembering their lines and all the lyrics to the songs. Well done to them all and a big thank you for the Reception and Years 1 & 2 staff for all their hard work.
