Friends of Glenmere Parent Staff Assocation (FOGPSA) are a group of parents and staff who meet on a regular basis (usually once a month) to primarily discuss and plan fundraising events for our school.
Our aim is to support the school in whatever way we can, this includes raising much needed funds, but at the same time we try to make the events that we plan fun and enjoyable for everyone. We also discuss and make plans to contribute more to school life through funding and supporting school improvement projects with our time and skills.
Last year was a very special year for Glenmere because it was our 50 Years Anniversary. The PSA was heavily involved in the activities and events to celebrate this last year. Please see our 50 Years Anniversary Page for more info about that. Also last year we had a Christmas Fayre, an Easter egg hunt, Family Fun night, and provided refreshments at sports days, cross country and school performances. The events were all really popular and a huge success.
In 2012 we were able to put about £3000 towards our new school library that is looking fantastic. The PSA also worked really hard sourcing furniture, new books and decorating the library.
In 2013 we donated over £3000 to pay for our Quiet Area Renovation project. In 2014 we continued to raise money for the school and paid for a number of items like the Life Education Bus to come and visit us at Glenmere. During the 2014 Autumn term we donated £1000 to the school to buy new reading books. We have also spent £500 on new toys and equipment for each classes Wet Play/ Golden Time boxes and the KS1 and KS2 Quiet Area boxes. We look forward to using some more of the funds raised in 2014 to help pay for other school improvement projects in 2015.
Below is our trustee’s annual report for 2013/2014 as well as a list of our committee members.
We currently have a committee of approximately 15 members and our trustees are as follows:-
Nancy Peach (Years 3 & 6)

Evonne Summers (Year 3) & Claire Cowen (Year 3)
We are always looking for new members and fresh ideas and anyone is more than welcome to join us. You can be as involved as little or as much as you like. From coming along to the meetings and getting involved in the planning or perhaps giving up an hour of your time to help set up for an event or run a stall at the Summer Fayre. Any help is always appreciated.
If you would like to get involved, please have a chat to one of the class contacts below or speak to Mrs McDonald in the school office who will point you in our direction.
