School Council

The children at Glenmere elect the school council at the beginning of each academic year. Children from year 1 to year 6 are elected.

The school council is a very important part of life at Glenmere. The members constantly strive to develop their school and are very responsible pupils.

They meet once a week at lunchtime to talk about school related issues and they work closely with the Headteacher and teacher present at the meetings.

As well as dealing with the wellbeing of pupils, they raise money for charity. Great Ormond Street has become a favourite and members have organised a coin collection once again due to successes last year. They also look for links with national and local events.

We have a strong team representing our school, who voice the children’s needs extremely well.
