I am delighted to welcome you to the Glenmere Community Primary School website. We are a busy but friendly school, with lots happening each term. I hope our website gives you a flavour of life at the school, a sense of what we value for our children, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.
At Glenmere we appreciate the importance of your child’s formative years at school and strive to create a setting that is warm, welcoming and supportive whilst challenging children to become independent life-long learners.
We look forward to meeting you.
Headteacher: Mrs Samantha Conlon

Year 4 created some amazing motifs to represent iconic landmarks, animals, transport and geographical sights from around the world, in their final dance performance to ‘Rockin’ all over the world!’ by Status Quo! https://t.co/UAWMZKSOcW
I’m so proud of the patience, resilience and dedication that year 2 has shown in their learning in art. Their collages in the style of Romare Bearden are fabulous! https://t.co/A1h2lX2U6R
Year 4 have used drama to demonstrate how particles change state via the process of heating from a solid, to a liquid, a liquid to a gas, then through cooling back to a liquid and finally through the process of freezing, back to a solid! Science is fun! https://t.co/3Y1U63xIfI
Year 4 have been conducting experiments to investigate solids liquids and gases. We also found out that displacement of water can keep a paper towel dry, even when it’s submerged in a big bowl of water. https://t.co/llJ9WWTVrn
What a great English afternoon in year 3. The children were able to show off their grammar and punctuation skills to the adults. https://t.co/QopUGNDEGf
In our active maths lesson today, year 3 were using their measurement skills to measure different lengths. https://t.co/gP4V1jASVx
This week in science, year 3 have been creating shadows. They discussed in their pairs if the object was transparent, translucent or opaque. Thinking about if the material would change the shadow. https://t.co/4xzCptRXZx
Year 3 ended the term with an ice-cream party for their well earned Golden Time. https://t.co/QkAjq8iqsD
Year 6 have produced some excellent extended writing pieces answering our big question in RE: why do Hindu’s want to be good? https://t.co/3NZf8qk5vg
Year 2 were carrying out geography fieldwork today using a small area to learn about habitats in our area https://t.co/gZ9yW6VdsO
