I am delighted to welcome you to the Glenmere Community Primary School website. We are a busy but friendly school, with lots happening each term. I hope our website gives you a flavour of life at the school, a sense of what we value for our children, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.
At Glenmere we appreciate the importance of your child’s formative years at school and strive to create a setting that is warm, welcoming and supportive whilst challenging children to become independent life-long learners.
We look forward to meeting you.
Headteacher: Mrs Samantha Conlon

Our picture news this week asked the question: Is a school more than just a building? We talked about how a school is made up of things we see and things we don't see, like pupils, care, visions and values. https://t.co/hH5CxQH423
Year 1 have been creating different line drawings in art this week. They were inspired by photos of waves and used different mediums and colours to recreate their own picture. https://t.co/a9bzaZYLzW
In music club today, we listened to 4 different styles of music and allowed ourselves to be inspired by what we heard and how we perceived the music to be for us personally. Some of the words they came up with were: excited, thoughtful, empowered and we even had a boogie too! https://t.co/PSN8VyYAqH
The year 4 children have been investigating ways to balance in different body parts, focusing on key elements such as body formation, levels, poise and stability. Their balances were brilliant! https://t.co/XQCgVMAjsK
Year 5 had great fun in active English thinking of adverbials and moving in the manner they chose. https://t.co/RZCF08SGK3
In year 2 today the children completed one of their tasks using google classroom instead of in their books. They were so confident. Great job year 2! https://t.co/Ws7mUv3G1z
What a fabulous music lesson today in year 2! The children were great with their warm up games and they are now beginning to better understand the structure of a song. Well done! https://t.co/ZCkmTMd3O0
Year 4 have been creating collages in art. They chose their pieces, then carefully cut them out before arranging them as they had designed. They looked fabulous and the children found lots of links to other subjects too! https://t.co/2EGEMvARks
Our Reception children have been working on their personal development learning in their rainbow challenge. Consideration, sharing and teamwork https://t.co/V8qNIZyEs2
