Welcome to the class page for Year 5. You can find our class newsletters, helpful websites to support learning at home and news about our learning. 

Few reminders:

  • Year 5 have PE throughout the week so remember to bring kit in daily (or leave in school)
  • Tennis is on Tuesdays
  • Swimming is on Wednesdays
  • Basketball is on Thursday
  • Running is on Friday
  • Spellings are tested on a Friday
  • Homework is given every Friday and is due the following Friday

At Glenmere, we use Spelling Shed to help with our spellings - all children in Year 5 have been given their login and will be given spellings on a weekly basis.

White Rose Maths Resources

Here you will find resources to support the learning of maths using the White Rose approach that we use daily in Year 5. White Rose Maths is excited to have produced a range of work booklets for parents and children to use over the summer or during next year. These booklets can be found on Amazon for the Kindle or downloaded below.  There is one booklet for each of our blocks for Y1 to Y6.
